Access to NSWCDD is controlled for security reasons. The base is
not intended to be a recreational outlet. This guide is presented to inform
you of common practices in allowing base access; however, it is not
guaranteed that you will be admitted.
Methods of Base Entry
(1) Pre-authorized base access card; (2) DYC member with name on Guard Gate
List; (3) NSASP Guest Pass; (4) Alternative to join DYC as racing member in
which case you would satisfy item 2 above; (5) have someone with a regular
base photo ID ferry you into the base in their vehicle; (6) Special Event
List.
Pre-Authorized Base Access
People may access the base by showing their military ID card, CAC card,
base badge, or retired military ID.
Guard Gate List
DYC maintains a list of members who do not have pre-authorized base access.
This list is sent to the guard gate on a periodic basis by the Membership
Governor. You should be able to obtain access to the base if your name is
on this list and you have your DYC membership card with you.
NSASP Guest Pass
NSASP or Tenant Command personnel (18 or older) who hold a CAC, Military
ID, NSASP or tenant command/activity badge may sponsor up to two persons
(age 16 or older) for a one year Guest Pass. Military residents may sponsor
up to four persons (age 16 or older) per household for a one year Guest Pass. Military personnel residing in
the Combined Bachelor Quarters may sponsor two persons (age 18 or older)
for a one year Guest
Pass.
To sponsor a guest and obtain an NSASP Guest
Pass for access to
DYC facilities, complete the request form using the link below and submit
as indicated on the NSWCDD Access Policy page. Approval is not automatic.
DO NOT RETURN THE GUEST BADGE REQUEST FORM TO DYC.
Special Event List
Any time a DYC special event is being held, the DYC Governor sponsoring the
event should submit a list of people requiring base access to Base Security
no later than Friday noon (if a weekend event).
Any DYC member attending a special function, who needs to be on this list,
should contact the sponsoring governor a few days ahead of the event.
