SOP for Use of DYC 'SUNDANCE MINI LAUNCH'

 NOTE- ENGINE IS 4 CYCLE, SO DO NOT PUT ANY OIL IN THE GAS.

 This boat is very light, NO moving about, either 1 person, or 2 light-weights.

 This boat is NOT to leave the creek, and NO use during whitecaps!!

 Remember to slow gently, and back slowly.  There is a bilge pump, w/dash switch.

MAKE SURE BILGE PUMP AND DEPTH FINDER ARE OFF WHEN LEAVING BOAT.

1.  Open race locker, get life jackets and throwable cushion, and orange box marked 'sundance'.  It contains the registration, key, flares and whistle.

 2.  Back vehicle up to trailer, and hitch up, 2" ball (1 and 7/8 will work).

 3.  Get stern plug from seat locker and install.  Verify that there is enough gas.

 4.  Get rig to launch ramp and unlock chain, see membership card.

 5.  Back down ramp such that area below winch is dry.

 6.  Remove winch cable from bow eye, and fasten long bow line to dock cleat, or have another person hold line.

 7.  Back trailer into water and launch boat  (note: line will catch on trailer).

 8.  Park trailer, then pull winch cable 1/3 way out trailer.

 9.  Relock ramp chain, move boat to floating dock, get aboard and pump gas bulb.

 10.  Get key and kill switch from orange box, insert key and killer,  stow box in seat.

 11.  Pump the throttle twice and, using key, start engine.  NO choke.

 12.  Allow engine to warm, and then proceed with mission.

 Note, idle only until far end of dock!   

 13.  After mission is over, tie up at ramp area, and reload boat on trailer.

 14.  Pull from ramp and maneuver rig to hose area.

 15.  Disconnect fuel line from engine.  Using muff from onboard locker,  flush engine until fuel runs out, reconnect fuel line, stow key in orange box.

 16.  Park rig in space then REMOVE stern plug and stow in seat locker,

 17.  Raise tongue jack to allow drainage of boat.

 18.  Put orange box and any other items removed back in race locker and lockup.
